The Owner's Corner: Buying and Selling Gyms

The Owner's Corner

Helping gym owners achieve sustainable growth

Hi Reader,

We've received some questions about buying and selling gyms.

Common questions include:

  1. What's the buying/selling process like?
  2. How do I find out what gyms are for sale?
  3. How do I list my gym for sale?

Buying can be a great way to grow your client base or add additional team members and capabilities. Would you rather run a dozen marketing campaigns and pay for each lead to build up a client base from scratch? Or pay up-front for a client list that you can use immediately? Buying a gym can get you the latter.

Selling of course can happen with life changes, or if you're simply tired of running a gym (happens to the best of us!).

We're familiar with the small business M&A space and would love to bring clarity around this.

If you have any curiosities about buying or selling, let us know your interest here so we can tailor content around it (it's literally 3 questions): https://forms.gle/dUewtqGNVwqbGv378
